On 8th Dec.2014, President of Confucius Institute of Liverpool University Mr. Tyne visited CCE and was warmly welcomed by President Zheng Wenli, vice president Yang Hongfei and Director of Training Department Sun Jinshui. The two sides held talks on the further corporation of education fields. 

First, Zheng welcomed the visit of Mr. Tyne on behalf of CCE and introduced the general development of CCE, especially the main school-running forms and features in recent years. He pointed out that CCE paid much attention on the non-academic trainings and international corporations. Mr. Tyne introduced the general situations of Liverpool University and the Confucius Institute. He shared experiences of Continuing Education School of Liverpool and Confucius Institute on community education and training, non-academic education and international cooperative education. He also wished to advance further corporation with CCE on program design and Chinese-English cultural communication. Through the meeting, both Liverpool and CCE reached agreements on future international corporation and the sharing of educational resources. Mr. Tyne visited the campus of XMU in the company of Zheng afterwards. 

University of Liverpool, as a research university, is one of the six 'Red Brick University' in British. It was founded in 1881 and became the founding member of the Russell University Group. As one of the eldest university in British, University of Liverpool is famous for excellent teaching quality and advanced research. The Confucius Institute of Liverpool University was opened on 23rd Oct. 2009, which serves to advance the promotion of Chinese language and culture.
