Recently, in order to explore a better way to provide a better service for the national strategy of "the Belt and the Road " and to establish a beneficial strategic partnership with western provinces,XMU Party committee secretary Zhang yan went to Guangxi province with a team. This trip was meant to deepen the corporation with Guangxi Province in talents cultivation, academic exchange, achievements transformation and Branch campus founding in Malaysia and so on. A strategic cooperation agreement with Guangxi Government was signed during this trip. CCE president Zheng Wenli was also in the visit team, who connected the relevant government sector in Guangxi and they reach an agreement of related issues in Furthering Education services. In the past few months, several training courses has been held for Guilin municipal party committee organization department, the Chinese communist party committee office of all ethnic groups in Longsheng autonomous county, the transport department of Chinese people's political consultative conference (CPPCC) and Liuzhou tourism bureau. It has opened a new chapter of furthering education service for the talents cultivation in western region and for our strategic partner.

Continuing education is an important branch of personnel training system. Our department is dedicated to provide services for talents cultivation for the western region, according to the strategy of "serve the national demand and developing area" of XMU. Over the past years, CCE trained over 10 thousand civil servants for the western regions and made a remarkable contribution for the talents cultivation of these area. CCE focus on the training of political talents, corporate managers and technical workers in order to cultivate a high quality staffs for the western region. Based on the researching leading edge of study on issues such as the southeast Asia research and the peaceful development of cross-strait relations, the south China sea and southeast Asia, the macroeconomic forecasting, energy economy and policy, the government governance, CCE actively explore a suitable mode of high quality talents cultivation for western region governments and large enterprise groups. In terms of training content, combined with economic and social development of economy and finance, business management, social management, and other hot difficult problem, as well as the development of social undertakings in the people's livelihood issues such as education, culture, social security, according to the development of the western region characteristic and the actual demand, CCE has carried out a series of focalized and effectual training. 

In the last few years, CCE made significant achievements torwards non-academic training in Guangxi, Yunnan, Sichuan, Chongqing, Guizhou and other three western provinces. We has established good cooperative relations with several government sectors, such as: general office of Yunnan provincial party committee and provincial government, the civil service bureau of Yunan, the health department of Yunnan, the Department of justice of Yunan, the SASAC of Guangxi, the development and reform commission of Nanning, the politics and law committee of Liuzhou city, Guangxi's CITIC manganese mining group co., LTD., the public security department of Sichuan province, the statistics bureau of Sichuan Province, the women's federation of Sichuan Province, the municipal human resources and social security bureau of Chongqing, the SASAC of guiyang city in guizhou province, work committee for offices directly under the central committee in Qiandongnan region, the state administration of taxation of Bijie city, China education union committee in Urumqi and other sectors. These efforts have effectively expanded our influence in the western region and has established a good impressions of XMU in continuing education. 

In terms of academic furthering education, CCE has founded Distance Education Learning Center in corporation with the Kunming in Vocational Skills Training School, MBA Association of Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region and Guangxi Radio and Television University . The center recruit online education students, and supporting the recruitment, the teaching managements, the supporting the manager training and so on. For the past six years, the center has served nearly 2000 students. 

Over the past years, CCE focuses on implementing the strategies of “Serve the strategic partners” of XMU, and devoted to build the “three talents teams”. CCE actively develop the furthering education programs. In terms of exploring the cooperation of regional economy and “region-campus” corporation, CCE carried out the guideline strategy of “the combination of in and out”, emphasized on providing service with high quality, and spared no efforts to shape the brand of "Furthering education of XMU" for supporting talent intellectual training for the western province. To serve our country better, CCE will continue to adhere to “the Belt and Road” strategy, vigorously carry out strategic cooperation with the western provinces, and actively explore our services in the western region, to provide better service to our strategy partner. CCE will continue play a positive role in Furthering education for western region and try to make greater contributions in terms of talent cultivation for the western regions.
