On June 13, 2016, the 26th training program for mid-ranking Party and governmental officials of Guilin was opened in CCE. Vice Minister Shi Fengyu and Section Chief Yi Lin of Guilin Municipal Party Committee, and CCE President Zheng Wenli attended the opening ceremony.
President Zheng warmly welcomed the trainees and pointed out the meaningful significance of this program. It was a practical step of strategic corporation with government of Guangxi Zhuangzu Autonomous Region and a start for Xiamen University to serve the Western China and meet their demands of continuing education, and advance the talent training progress of Guangxi. Zheng also introduced the history, campus culture, competitive subjects, and international programs of XMU. He wished every trainee could gain new and professional knowledge and understand more about XMU.
Vice Minister Shi expressed appreciation of the supports and works that CCE did for the program and encouraged all the trainees to value the chance of study in XMU, reach the goals of training, apply theory into practice, and finally make contribution to the future development of Guilin.
To further advance the corporation between Guilin Municipal Party Committee and CCE, Vice Minister Shi visited CCE on 14th June, 2016 and had a meeting with President Zheng, Vice President Yang Hongfei, Director of Training Department Sun Jinshui, and Director Secretory of Training Department Liao Xuejie.
President Zheng emphasized the significant meaning of strategic corporation between Guangxi and CCE, and introduced the history, education scale, educational resources and achievements of CCE, especially the contributions made for the economic development and talent trainings of Guangxi. Vice Minister Shi said that all the officials were satisfied with the curriculum, lecturers of the training program and he looked forward to the establishment of CCE’s study center in Guilin and long-term corporation between Guilin and CCE.
