On the morning of December 5, "Xiamen University - Guilin cadre education training base", jointly set up by Organization Department of Guilin Municipal Party Committee and CCE, was established officially. The opening ceremony of the first training class was held grandly in the Science and Art Center of XMU. CCE party secretary Cai Zhengwei, vice president Wang Chuanjin, vice minister of Organization Department of Guilin Municipal Party Committee Shi Fengyu, and the inspection group leader of Organization Department of Guilin Municipal Party Committee Zeng Weining attended the opening ceremony.

CCE party secretary Cai Zhengwei delivered a speech at the ceremony on behalf of CCE. In his speech, he fully appreciated the importance of setting up Guilin cadre education training base. He said that Organization Department of Guilin municipal Party committee attached great importance to education and training of carders and gave high trust of CCE. With the establishment of the training base, there would be more chance for excellent cadres of Guilin to learn in Xiamen University in the future, and CCE would deepen socio-economic researches of Guilin to provide more high-quality training resources for leaders at all levels of Guilin.

Shi Fengyu stressed the importance of establishing cadre education training base in his speech. He said that the training base in Xiamen University was the second training base of Guilin ( with the first one in Peking University), which was also the only base in south China. He hoped that with the help of powerful disciplines and teachers, and rich cultural accumulation of Xiamen University, the concept, the vision, the professionalism and the leadership of leaders of Guilin would be promoted, and finally the socio-economic development of Guilin could be provided with more intellectual support. Meanwhile, he asked students in the first training class to cherish the hard-won learning opportunities, to learn more, to observe more, to think more, and to explore more. He also asked the students to strictly observe the learning discipline and to fully demonstrate the good images of officials of Guilin. Shi Fengyu finally said that the establishment of the base and the opening of the first class would effectively strengthen the communication and the cooperation between the two sides, and laid a solid foundation for the integration of university and city.

The official establishment of Xiamen University - Guilin cadre education training base marked a long-term cooperative relationship in the training of cadre education between Organization Department of Guilin municipal Party committee and CCE. CCE would take this opportunity to further enhance the influence of high-end training brand of CCE in Guilin, to push the long-term operation of cadre education training of Guilin, to deepen cooperation and friendship between the two sides, and to provide good services for quality enhancement of carders in Guilin.
